LOGAN, Utah — Utah State track and field had a school-record 24 student-athletes earn U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) All-Academic honors, it was announced by the organization on Monday.
The Aggie women, with a GPA of 3.79, and the Aggie men, with a GPA of 3.66, were both recognized as All-Academic Teams for maintaining a cumulative GPA of at least 3.00 or higher. The women's cumulative GPA ranked second among all teams that submitted for USTFCCCA honors, behind only the University of Utah, while the men ranked fourth behind Creighton, Dartmouth and Yale.
On the men's side, the Aggies' 17 honorees included graduate

On the women's side, seven Aggies earned the accolades, including junior

Emma Thornley (kinesiology) and junior

The men's 17 honorees tied for the fifth-most of any program in the country, and the Aggies' combined total of 24 awardees ranked 21st in the country and first in the Mountain West. The 2024-25 team surpassed the previous school record for USTFCCCA All-Academic honorees of 16, set by the 2017-18 squad.
To qualify for the USTFCCCA All-Academic Track & Field Team, a student-athlete must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.25, completed at least two semesters or three quarters at the nominating institution and have met at least one of the athletic qualifying standards:
For the indoor season: must have finished the season ranked in the top 96 in any championship individual event, or in the top 48 in any championship relay event, for the most recent indoor season, certifiable by their place on final season performance lists on TFRRS for indoor track & field (including performances achieved outside the qualifying window during the indoor season).
For the outdoor season: must have participated in any round of the NCAA Division I Outdoor Track and Field Championships (the Preliminary Championship Competition and/or the Final Championship Competition) or for the multi-events, must have finished the season ranked in the top 48 in the East or top 48 in the West for the most recent outdoor season, certifiable by their place on the NCAA Division I descending order lists on TFRRS for outdoor track and field.
