Utah State's men's cross country squad travels to Terre Haute, Indiana, this Saturday to compete at the John McNichols Invitational, hosted by Indiana State. The 8K race begins at 7:05 a.m. (MT).
 
The meet will be the Aggies' first look at the Lavern Gibson Championship Cross Country Course, which will be the venue for the Under Armour Pre-National Invitational and the NCAA Championships later this season.

Last Race
Senior Jedidiah Megargel led the pack to the finish line at the home-hosted Utah State Alumni Challenge, clocking a 20:47.9 to set a 17-second personal best in the 7K race. The men's squad followed through with a team victory as Walker Cole, Joshua Armstrong, LJ Floyd, and Michael Moffat, each finished in the top 10, scoring 25 team points.  
 
In the Rankings
The Aggie men debuted in the USTFCCCA Mountain Regional rankings earlier this month, sitting in sixth place behind five nationally ranked teams, including New Mexico (2), Colorado (6), Northern Arizona (7), BYU (9), and Air Force (23). Utah State is also among teams receiving votes in the national polls, only two points shy of a top 30 position.
 
Familiar Faces
The men's squad boasts an experienced veteran lineup, carrying over 14 of their 17-man roster from 2025, with all seven finishers from the NCAA Mountain Regionals making a return. New additions include sophomore Tayshaun Ogomo from the 2025-26 track and field roster, junior transfer Omar Alsaidi, and freshman Aidan Neal to round out the roster.
 
Whole Squad Ready
Senior Joshua McKee rejoins the Aggie squad after taking first place at the Mike Baumer XC Classic in Dayton, Ohio. McKee captured the 5K title with a personal best time of 15:02.7, finishing 10 seconds before the runner-up. McKee was one of Utah State's top runners last season, pacing the Aggies at the 2025 NCAA Mountain Regionals and earning an individual victory at the Beehive Invitational in Salt Lake City.
