LOGAN, Utah -

TEAM NOTES
* Captains for tonight's game were senior LB Zach Vigil, junior OG Taani Fisilau, sophomore TE Wyatt Houston and junior DE Jordan Nielsen.
* Utah State has now won five straight home games and 14 of its last 16 home games overall, including 11 of its last 13 home games against non-conference opponents. USU also won its first-ever game against an ACC opponent and is now 1-3 all-time against ACC schools.
* Utah State has now won eight of its last 10 games played in September.
* The negative 25 rushing yards allowed by Utah State rank as the third-best single-game effort in school history behind the negative 51 rushing yards by Pacific in 1960 and the negative 35 rushing yards by Pacific in 1967.
* The 232 total yards allowed by Utah State is a season-low, as is the 25:20 time of possession by a USU opponent.
* Utah State had a season-high 331 passing yards, which are its most since it had 370 passing yards against Hawai'i on Nov. 2, 2013, a span of nine games.
* Utah State's defense had a season-high six sacks.
* Utah State's defense has not allowed a first quarter TD in 26 of its last 32 games and has now held 18 of its last 28 opponents without a first-half TD.
* Utah State has led at the half in 24 of its last 31 games and is 21-3 games.
* Josh Banks 70-yard INT return for a TD was the first INT return for a score against Utah State since last season when BYU's Kyle Van Noy had a 17-yard INT for a score on Oct. 4, 2013.
* Utah State has now scored two defensive TDs in a game for the first time in school history according to available records, and has now scored defensive TDs in back-to-back games for the first time since 2003 when John Chick had a 37-yard fumble return for a TD against North Texas and Terrance Washington had a 26-yard INT return for TD against Arkansas State. Overall, USU has now scored three defensive TDs this year and six in its last 11 games dating back to last season.
* Utah State has now intercepted five passes in its last two games and 22 in its last 13 games. USU has also intercepted at least one pass in eight of its last nine games dating back to last season as it has 15 interceptions in those nine games. USU also has multiple interceptions in five of its last nine games dating back to last season. USU has also forced seven turnovers in its last two games.
* Utah State's 29 first-half points are its most since scoring 31 first-half points at New Mexico (10/19/13), a span of 10 games, while its 36 total points are its most since scoring 47 against Hawai'i on Nov. 2, 2013.
* Utah State had three players throw touchdown passes in senior QB Chuckie Keeton, sophomore QB Darell Garretson and senior WR Ronald Butler.

PLAYER NOTES
* Utah State had one player make his first career start tonight in freshman WR Damoun Patterson.
* Senior LB Zach Vigil recorded his second career INT and first of the season. His 35-yard INT return is his first career score. Vigil also had a career-high four QB hurries.
* Senior LB Zach Vigil had four tackles, giving him 256 career tackles, moving him ahead of David Bluford (255, 1979-81) and into 21st-place all-time at USU in career tackles.
* Junior LB Torrey Green recorded his first career sack. He also had a career-high six tackles, which included a career-high 2.5 TFL.
* Junior LB Nick Vigil forced his first career fumble and had a career-high three QB hurries.
* Sophomore CB Daniel Gray had a career-high 2.0 pass breakups.
* Sophomore S Devin Centers scored his first career TD on a 47-yard fumble return, which was his first career fumble recovery. Centers also had 1.0 sack for his second sack of the season and his career.
* Senior SS Frankie Sutera recorded his first INT of the season and second of his career. Sutera also forced his first career fumble and recorded a career-high nine tackles.
* Senior DE B.J. Larsen recorded a career-high 3.0 sacks, the first three of the season and he now has 11.0 sacks in his career.
* Junior WR Hunter Sharp has a career-high 12 receptions, which are the most by an Aggie since Kevin Curtis had 13 receptions against Middle Tennessee on Nov. 30, 2002. Sharp also had a career-best 138 receiving yards, which is the most by an Aggie since Ronald Butler had 145 receiving yards at Fresno State in last year's Mountain West Championship game.
* WR Ronald Butler threw his first career TD pass from 44 yards.
* Junior WR JoJo Natson caught his first TD reception of the season and the fourth of his career.
* Sophomore TE Wyatt Houston had a career-high four receptions. He also caught his first TD pass of the season and the third of his career.
* Senior TE Jefferson Court caught his first career TD. He also had a career-high two receptions.
* Senior QB Chuckie Keeton threw his second TD pass of the season and 58th of his career.
* Senior QB Chuckie Keeton had 166 passing yards in the first half moving him ahead of Tony Adams (6,226, 1970-72) and into third-place all-time in school history with 6,387 career passing yards.
* Senior QB Chuckie Keeton was 20-of-27 passing in the first half and has now attempted 869 passes in his career moving ahead of Eric Hipple (850, 1976-79) and into fifth-place all-time in school history in career pass attempts.
* Sophomore QB Darell Garretson threw his first TD pass of the season and the 11th of his career.
* Freshman WR Damoun Patterson had his first two career receptions.
* Senior P Jaron Bentrude had a season-long 52 yard punt, which was downed at the 3-yard line for his third 50-plus yard punt of the season. Bentrude has now had 10 punts downed inside the 20-yard line this season with his three tonight, including his second downed inside the 10-yard line. For his career, Bentrude now has nine 50-yard punts, 40-punts downed inside the 20 and 13 punts downed inside the 10.
* Senior PK Nick Diaz was 1-of-2 on field goals (26) and is now 30-of-40 all-time in field goals, including 13-of-17 from 20-29 yards. Diaz is 3-of-4 on field goals this year.
