Utah State Track & Field Captures Four Titles at Jackson’s/Nike Boise Indoor Invite

NAMPA, Idaho – Utah State's track & field programs captured four titles – three on the men's side and one on the women's side – and a combined 30 top-five finishes at the Boise State-hosted Jackson's/Nike Boise Indoor Invite on Friday and Saturday at the Jacksons Indoor Track.

Three of the titles came on the men's side. Sophomore Hunter Simonsen won the high jump (2.06 meters/6-09.00), senior Kyle Morris won the shot put (18.19 meters/59-08.25) and freshman Bridger Altice won the 5,000 meters (15:05.66).

The Aggies dominated the 5,000-meter races as the men and women claimed the top-five spots on each side. For the women, freshman Arianna Steiner placed first (18:04.45), freshman KaryLee Taylor finished second (18:04.54) and junior Hannah Dutson crossed the line in third place (18:06.21).

On the men's side, freshmen Justin Hodges (15:06.66) and Camren Todd (15:09.17) placed second and third, respectively, behind Altice's personal-best winning time.

Utah State tallied 17 top-five finishes and 11 personal-best marks on the men's side and 13 top-five placings and 14 career-best marks on the women's side.

Utah State is back in action next weekend at the New Mexico-hosted Don Kirby Invitational. The two-event will begin on Thursday, Feb. 13, and conclude on Friday, Feb. 14.
