"We look forward to this meet every year and it's extra special this year with it being during homecoming week. There should be about 80 total athletes in each race, so it will provide some good competition for our athletes that are racing. We are trying to improve and get better each week and tomorrow's race is a big part of that."

AGGIES IN THE POLLS
Utah State men's cross country broke into the latest NCAA DI Cross Country National Coaches' Poll at No. 30. The Aggie men are also ranked No. 5 in the Mountain Region rankings, while the women are ranked No. 6 regionally.

ABOUT STEVE T. REEDER
First held in 2016, the Steve T. Reeder Memorial Invitational honors the legacy of longtime USU distance coach Steve T. Reeder, who spent 35 years coaching the Aggies. The race will be held at the Steve and Dona Reeder Cross Country Course at USU's Innovation Campus Wellness Park, which has hosted the NCAA Mountain Regional Championships twice (2016, 2017) and the Mountain West Championships once (2019). In this year's event, Utah State will be joined by Weber State, Montana State-Billings, Westminster, Salt Lake CC, College of Southern Idaho, and Utah (women). Utah is ranked No. 6 in the nation and No. 3 in the Mountain Region, while Weber State's men's team is ranked No. 12 in the Mountain Region.

FRESHMAN PHENOMS
Four Aggies have already claimed Mountain West Men's Freshman of the Week honors this season. Freshman
Jedidiah Megargel won the weekly honors following his seventh-place finish in the Utah State Alumni Challenge on August 31, freshman
Luke Stockett claimed the award thanks to a 21st-place finish in the BYU Autumn Classic on September 13, freshman
Michael Moffat won the award following his seventh-place finish at the UC Riverside Invitational on September 21, and freshman
Joshua McKee claimed the honors after a 14th-place finish at the Paul Short Run on October 5. Utah State is the first cross country program in Mountain West history to claim a given individual honor four-consecutive times, and the fourth Mountain West program in any sport to have four different athletes claim the same honor in consecutive weeks.

LAST MEET
Graduate
Camren Todd won the individual title in the Gold 8K race at the Paul Short Run with a time of 23:18.8, leading the men's team to a third-place finish out of 44 teams with 109 points. Utah State women's cross country placed fourth in the Gold 6K race with a score of 160 points. Senior
Emma Thornley led the Aggie women with a 15th-place finish at 20:27.0.
