AWARDS SEASON
Utah State student-athletes have earned 11 Mountain West weekly awards during the indoor season, the most in program history. USU earned a record-setting total of five awards on Dec. 16, with freshman Adia Ross winning MW Women's Track Athlete and Freshman of the Week honors, senior Logan Hammer claiming his seventh career MW Men's Field Athlete of the Week award, sophomore Presley Gray winning MW Women's Field Athlete of the Week and sophomore Ayodele Ojo, Jr. earning MW Men's Track Athlete of the Week. Junior Sam Beckwith and freshman Lexi Toronto claimed the MW Men's Field Athlete of the Week and MW Women's Freshman of the Week awards, respectively, on Jan. 13. Ojo earned his second MW Men's Track Athlete of the Week honor and freshman Sally Roos claimed the Aggies' third-straight MW Women's Freshman of the Week award on Jan. 20. On Feb. 3, junior Landon Bott won the MW Men's Track Athlete of the Week honor and freshman Karina Cooper earned MW Women's Freshman of the Week accolades.

RECORD SCRATCH
Utah State opened the 2025-26 indoor season with a record-setting performance at the BYU December Invitational from Dec. 10-11. Hammer, senior Javin Richards and Ross broke school records in the men's pole vault (5.63 meters (18-5.5), men's heptathlon (5,536 points) and women's 60 meters (7.48), respectively. Ojo became the fourth Aggie to set a school record in 2025-26 when he ran the 60 meters in 6.55 at the Snake River Open on Jan. 16, topping both the Utah State record of 6.61, set in 2014, and the MW record of 6.60, set in 2015. Bott broke the men's 800-meter school record in front of the Aggie faithful at the Roman Ruiz Speed and Power Invitational on Jan. 30, crossing the line in 1:47.79.

RUNNING IT BACK
Utah State enters the indoor season returning seven All-Mountain West performers from last year as the Aggie men placed third at the 2025 MW Indoor Championships with 109 points and the women finished eighth with 43 points.

Hammer and junior Landon Bott claimed MW titles in 2025, with Bott winning the 800 meters in 1:52.38 and Hammer winning his second-straight pole vault title with a clearance of 5.52 meters (18-6.5). The USU men's distance medley relay team earned all-conference honors for its 9:42.46 time, taking second place at the MW Indoor Championships, as Bott and seniors Ernest Green and Samuel Green return from that group. Ernest Green also earned all-conference honors as he won silver in the 800 meters with a time of 1:52.59. Sophomore Diego Aguirre-Stewart took silver in the 200 meters, clocking in at 20.93. Sophomore Taite Priestley earned his first career All-MW honors in the high jump, tying for bronze with a height of 2.04 meters (6-8.25). Senior Marshall Rasmussen joined Hammer on the pole vault podium, winning silver with a jump of 5.21 meters (18-1.25).

Hammer won two Mountain West Men's Field Athlete of the Week awards last season. Sophomore Daniel Chase won MW Men's Track Athlete of the Week once and MW Men's Freshman of the Week twice, while Aguirre-Stewart and Gray each won MW Freshman of the Week honors once.

WELCOME TO LOGAN
Utah State track and field welcomed four transfers (two men, two women) and 24 freshmen (10 men, 14 women) to the program this season. Five of the 28 newcomers competed during the cross country season last fall, with sophomore Jayden Holdsworth and freshmen Taylor Palmer and Hailey Shakespear representing the Aggies at the MW Cross Country Championships.

LAST WEEK
Utah State student-athletes claimed 14 titles, 35 podium finishes and posted 16 performances ranking in the top 10 all-time, including Bott's school record in the 800 meters, at the USU-hosted Roman Ruiz Speed and Power Invitational and the Washington-hosted UW Invitational.
