DIRECTOR OF TRACK & FIELD/CROSS COUNTRY ARTIE GULDEN
"The conference meet is always an exciting competition. There are some great teams in our conference but our teams are looking to be very competitive and get in the mix. Both of our teams have some athletes looking to vie for all-conference recognition. We will preview the course today and then make a race plan that we think will suit the team well."

AGGIES IN THE POLLS
Utah State men's cross country jumped up this week's NCAA DI Cross Country National Coaches' Poll, rising from No. 30 to No. 19. This is the men's highest national ranking since 2021. The Aggie men are also ranked No. 4 in the Mountain Region rankings, while the women are ranked No. 7 regionally.

HOW SWEEP IT IS
Aggie runners swept the Mountain West's weekly awards on October 15, with freshman
Joshua Armstrong winning Men's Athlete and Freshman of the Week, senior
Sammi Lee winning Women's Athlete of the Week, and freshman
Ava Trimble winning Women's Freshman of the Week. It was the first time that any school had claimed all four cross country awards since the conference began awarding Freshman of the Week honors in 2021. These individual honors came after Utah State swept the team titles at the USU-hosted Steve T. Reeder Memorial Invitational on October 11.

WE LIKE IKE
Utah State's cross country programs are not the first Aggie team to compete at Eisenhower Golf Course this fall. The USU men's golf team excelled at the Gene Miranda Falcon Invitational at this course from September 21-23, placing second out of 22 teams. This will be the second time that Eisenhower Golf Course hosts the Mountain West Championships. Utah State's women's and men's teams finished fifth and sixth, respectively, in 2013, the Aggies' first season in the Mountain West.
