LOGAN, Utah — Utah State track & field claimed seven titles and 18 podium finishes while posting two performances that rank in the top-10 in school history at the Bryan Clay Multis in Azusa, California, the Weber State Spring Classic in Ogden, Utah, and the Utah Spring Classic in Salt Lake City, Utah, from Thursday-Saturday.

In California, senior Javin Richards posted the second-best decathlon performance in Utah State history, accumulating 7,203 points to place sixth in Section A of the competition. The Perry, Ohio, native set personal bests in the 400 meters, long jump and shot put as he topped his previous-best overall score by 102 points, moving up from fifth in the Aggie record book. Richards currently leads the Mountain West in the decathlon and ranks 19th in the nation.

At Friday's Weber State Spring Classic, Aggie steeplechasers swept the event titles. Sophomore Alayna Wardle crossed the line first in the women's race in 11:24.82 before freshman Stockton Stevens won the men's race with a time of 9:21.08. Sophomore Carli Nelson and junior Will Dixon also earned podium finishes, respectively finishing second in the women's field in 11:32.89 and third in the men's field with a time of 9:30.80.

In the men's mile, sophomore Ethan Peterson and junior Joshua Armstrong took first and second place with respective personal-best times of 4:05.99 and 4:06.12. On the women's side, junior Caroline Moon took second place, clocking in at 5:01.60 to best her previous-best outdoor mile by over 10 seconds.

Sophomore Mathew Hall made his outdoor season debut, finishing second in his first career outdoor 400-meter race with a time of 45.87.

Junior Sam Beckwith took third place in the men's long jump, clearing a distance of 7.26 meters (23-9.75).

Senior Milly Garren finished in third place in the women's discus with her season-best throw of 47.46 meters (155-8.5).

Saturday's Utah Spring Classic in Salt Lake City, which was twice delayed by lightning, saw USU's 800-meter squad dominate the podium. Junior Landon Bott won the men's title and broke the McCarthey Family Track & Field Complex record, previously held by former Aggie All-American Clay Lambourne, with a winning time of 1:48.67. The indoor All-American's altitude-adjusted time of 1:48.10 ranks third in the Mountain West and 15th in the NCAA West Region so far this season.

Seniors Ernest Green and Samuel Green completed the Aggie sweep of the podium with respective times of 1:49.15 and 1:51.53. Ernest Green's second-place time moved him into eighth in Utah State history while also ranking fifth in the conference and 20th in the West region in 2026.

On the women's side, freshman Lexi Toronto finished in third place, second among collegiate runners, as she clocked in at 2:13.10.

Senior Valerie Clark won the women's javelin, her fourth top-two finish in as many meets this season, with a mark of 47.78 meters (156-09). Clark launched her winning throw on her third attempt before the competition was cut short by the day's second lightning delay.

Juniors Walker Cole and John Simmons finished first and second in the men's 5,000 meters, clocking in with respective times of 14:52.81 and 15:11.97.

Senior Marshall Rasmussen battled the wind and rain and bested the men's pole vault field with his clearance of 4.95 meters (16-2.75).
