LOGAN, Utah — Utah State track & field claimed five titles and 20 podium finishes while posting five top-10 performances in school history at the Robison Invitational in Provo, Utah, from Wednesday to Saturday and the Bengal Invitational in Pocatello, Idaho, on Friday and Saturday.

Junior Logan Hammer, who leads the nation in the men's pole vault claimed another men's pole vault title at the Robison Invitational. He continued his string of strong performances with his clearance of 5.65 meters (18-6.5), a height he has cleared in each of his last three competitions. Only Western Illinois's Arnie Grunert has matched that height even once this outdoor season.

Freshman Diego Aguirre-Stewart won the men's 200 meters in a time of 20.90, a performance that moved him from sixth to fourth in Aggie history in the event. Freshman teammate Ayodele Ojo finished third in the competition, clocking in at 21.04.

Senior Nate Franz claimed the runner-up spot in the men's shot put with a heave of 18.13 meters (59-5.75). With his mark, the reigning Mountain West silver medalist in the indoor shot put moved into 10th in Utah State history in the outdoor event. Franz also hold school top-10 marks in the indoor shot put and weight throw.

Junior Sophie Chandler took second in the women's heptathlon with 5,180 points, an overall point total that moved her from ninth to sixth in school history. Chandler's performance was fueled by three personal best marks and two first-place finishes among the seven events.

Senior Emma Reeves placed third in the final of the women's 100 meters with a time of 11.82. In her preliminary race, Reeves qualified for the final by posting a time of 11.74 that also ranks fifth in USU history.

At the Bengal Invitational, graduate Melissa Navarro returned to Utah State's all-time top-10 list in the women's javelin, launching a throw of 44.69 meters (146-7) that ranked fourth in the competition. Navarro, who ranked 10th in school history earlier this season, has now moved into eighth all-time.

Back in Provo, Ojo and freshman Daniel Chase claimed the top-two spots in the men's 100 meters. Ojo, this past week's MW Men's Freshman of the Week, won the race with a time of 10.60, edging out Chase's run of 10.62.

Sophomore Walker Deede took second place in the men's javelin with a throw of 67.36 meters (221-0). The defending silver medalist from the Mountain West Outdoor Championships posted his third mark of the season that eclipsed his runner-up performance from that meet.

Junior Krysthina Vlahovic, the third-ranked 100-meter hurdler in Canada, added a podium finish for the Aggies with her third-place time of 13.88.

Freshman Alayna Wardle took third place in the women's 3,000-meter steeplechase, finishing in a time of 11:21.8.

Aggie women put up strong performances in the field events. Sophomore Elle Jacobson placed second in the long jump with a personal-best distance of 5.82 meters (19-1.25). Freshman Presley Gray had a personal-best jump of 1.71 meters (5-7.25) to take third in the high jump competition. Junior Milly Garren posted a mark of 14.35 meters (47-1) in the shot put to claim a third-place finish.

In the middle-distance events, sophomore Carson Coleman won the open competition of the men's 800 meters, finishing his race in 1:52.0. In the invitational section, junior Ernest Green took third with a time of 1:50.6. Sophomore Walker Cole finished second in the open men's mile with a time of 4:16.6. On the women's side, freshman Jocelyn Capener took third place in the open women's 800 meters, clocking in at 2:15.1.

Freshman Taite Priestley won the men's high jump, clearing 2.11 meters (6-11) to win the competition by two inches. Priestley now owns the three best jumps in the Mountain West this season.

USU also saw success in the relay events. The team of freshman Mashaylee Jones, freshman Brenly Douglas, sophomore Breanna Raven and Reeves took second place in the women's 4x100-meter relay with a time of 45.72. In the women's 4x400-meter relay race, the all-freshman quartet of Capener, Ava Smith, Erin Higgs and Heidi Harper took third place with a time of 3:50.10.

Utah State will send select athletes to the Franson Last Chance in Azusa, California, on Friday and Saturday, May 9-10. The following week, USU will compete at the 2025 Mountain West Outdoor Track and Field Championships in Clovis, California, from Thursday to Saturday, May 15-17.
