LOGAN, Utah — Utah State's women's 4x400-meter relay team broke the school record in the event as the Aggie track & field team claimed 10 titles and 22 podium finishes while posting six additional performances that rank in the top-10 in school history as they competed at the BYU Robison Invitational in Provo, Utah, from Wednesday-Saturday, the Payton Jordan Invitational in Stanford, California, on Friday and the Desert Heat Classic in Tucson, Arizona, on Saturday.
Junior
Claire Petersen, sophomore
Shay Jones, graduate
Annie Ivins and sophomore
Heidi Harper clocked in at 3:36.87 to set the USU record in the women's 4x400-meter relay on Thursday at the BYU Robison Invitational. The quartet's historic effort bested the standard of 3:38.66 set by the 2025 squad of Jones, then-junior
Alison Richter and then-seniors
Adi Nielson and
Emma Reeves. The team finished first in the race and now ranks second in the Mountain West.
Sophomore
Ayodele Ojo, Jr. ran a wind-aided time of 9.90 to win the men's 100-meter final on Thursday. Ojo became the first Aggie to ever break the 10-second barrier in any conditions and currently sits as the third-ranked American sprinter, professional or collegiate, on the U.S. all-conditions leaderboard in the 100 meters. The indoor All-American also finished first in Wednesday's prelims, clocking in at 10.20. Ojo remains atop the Mountain West and currently ranks 18th in the NCAA West Region.
Senior
Javin Richards set a new personal best in the decathlon, accumulating 7,322 points to take first place in the Robison Invitational field. Richards set personal-best marks in the shot put, 400 meters, discus and javelin while also clearing a meet-best 5.10 meters (16-8.75) en route to setting the best overall score of his career, and the second-best in Aggie history, by 119 points. The five-time All-MW honoree leads the conference by 674 points and ranks 30th in the nation in the decathlon.
Sophomore
Mathew Hall bested the field in Saturday's invite section of the men's 200 meters, clocking in at 20.59. Hall's time improved on his personal best by 0.11 seconds, giving him sole possession of second place in Utah State history behind only Parker Bluth's 2016 time of 20.52.
Sophomore
Sabrina Fairbanks posted the third-ranked pole vault performance in Utah State history, placing second in the Robison Invitational field on Wednesday with a meet-best height of 4.07 meters (13-4.25). Fairbanks beat her previous best by 1.75 inches and now ranks fifth in the MW in the event. Freshman
Karina Cooper took third place with a clearance of 3.82 meters (12-6.5).
The Aggie men also claimed a relay title, with the men's 4x100-meter squad of freshman
David Konan, Ojo, sophomore
Diego Aguirre-Stewart and sophomore
Daniel Chase crossing the finish line in 39.56. Aguirre-Stewart made his first appearance in an Aggie uniform since February's MW Indoor Track and Field Championships in the relay effort that ranks fifth in USU history. Ojo has now been featured on four of USU's top-10 all-time relay squads, while Chase and Konan have appeared on three and Aguirre-Stewart on two.
Freshman
Adia Ross placed fourth in the women's 100 meters, crossing the line in 11.71 seconds. The USU record-holder in the 60 meters moved into fifth place in Aggie history in the 100 meters, beating her previous-best time by 0.22 seconds.
Senior
Krysthina Vlahovic and Petersen finished third and fourth, respectively, in the final of the women's 100-meter hurdles. Vlahovic's final time of 13.70 rates as her season best. The pair reversed their finishes from the event prelims, where Petersen's third-place qualifying time of 13.55 improved on her ninth-ranked standing in USU history.
Junior
Walker Deede posted another impressive performance in the men's javelin, posting a mark of 72.13 meters (236-8) to win the competition in Provo. The reigning MW Field Athlete of the Week had his third-straight performance throwing beyond the 70-meter mark, a barrier that no other MW thrower and only 24 other athletes in the country have approached this season.
Senior
Valerie Clark claimed the top spot in the women's javelin with a winning throw of 48.66 meters (159-8). Clark, who set the Utah State javelin record last week at the Aggie Invitational, was joined on the podium by sophomore teammate
Mary Bryan, who took third with a throw of 45.79 meters (150-3).
Sophomore
Taite Priestley won the men's high jump, his fifth event title in as many competitions, with a clearance of 2.10 meters (6-10.75). The three-time MW bronze medalist currently ranks second in the conference in the high jump.
Freshmen
Lexi Toronto and
Sally Roos finished one-two in the Open A section of the women's 800 meters, finishing with respective times of 2:13.23 and 2:14.06.
Jones put up another terrific run on Saturday, finishing second place in the invite section of the women's 200 meters. The Plano, Texas, native crossed the line in 23.57, 0.01 seconds shy of her personal best that ranks third in Utah State history in the event.
Juniors
Michael Amitava Maiorano and
Bryce Hill posted strong performances in the men's 3,000-meter steeplechase, clocking in with respective times of 8:59.02 and 9:02.95. Maiorano, whose sixth-place time converts to 8:47.15 due to altitude, ranks sixth in the MW and 30th in the NCAA West Region, while Hill's ninth-place performance, adjusted to 8:50.99, ranks seventh in the conference and 42nd regionally. Maiorano and Hill, along with graduate
Logan Garnica and junior
Garrett Woodhouse, comprise the fourth-best steeplechase squad in the NCAA, according to the USTFCCCA EventSquad rankings.
Junior
Caroline Moon and sophomore
Ava Trimble placed second and third with respective times of 4:32.56 and 4:33.42 in the invite section of the women's 1,500 meters. In the open section, freshman
Maddie Embley topped the field with her time of 4:54.52.
Senior
Marshall Rasmussen finished in second place in the men's pole vault, clearing a competition-best height of 5.01 meters (16-5.25).
Junior
Elle Jacobson took second place in the women's long jump with a season-best clearance of 5.35 meters (17-6.75).
Harper added a third-place finish in the individual 400 meters to her list of impressive performances in Provo, finishing in a personal-best 55.02.
At the Payton Jordan Invitational, junior
