OGDEN, Utah  — Utah State track & field men's and women's programs won the Weber State Team Invitational with team scores of 148.0 and 131.5, respectively. It's the Aggies' first team-scored victories of the season. Individually, USU athletes claimed nine titles and 32 additional top-five finishes. 

The first title of the competition was claimed by sophomore Logan Hammer who cleared 5.20 meters (17-0.75) to win the men's pole vault. 

In the next men's competition, junior Kelton Chenworth won the high jump by topping a height of 2.06 meters (6-9.00). Chenworth also placed third in the long jump with a mark of 6.88 meters (22-6.75). 

The first women's title came in the triple jump where senior Sidnee Naerebout was victorious with a mark of 11.93 meters (39-1.75). Freshman Breanna Raven took second in the event with a mark of 11.68 meters (38-3.75), which moved her into 10th all-time in USU history. 

Junior Godwin Charles extended his winning streak to three consecutive titles in the men's triple jump as he took first with a mark of 15.44 meters (50-7.75). Charles also placed fourth in the long jump with a mark of 6.80 meters (22-3.75). 

The first Aggie track title came in the women's 800 meters where senior Hannah Davidson finished with a time of 2:17.29. Utah State took four of the top five spots in the event as freshman Marion Packer took second with a time of 2:17.58, freshman Julia Stuard placed fourth with a time of 2:21.01 and senior Taylia Norris finished fifth with a time of 2:21.59. 

Junior Brennan Benson won the 800 meters for the Aggie men with a time of 1:52.88, while freshman Bradford Woodhouse took third with a time of 1:55.52. 

Junior Emma Reeves won the next USU title in the women's 200 meters with a time of 25.42. In the men's 200 meters, freshman Joseph Douglas placed second with a time of 22.94. Douglas also finished fifth in the 55-meter dash. 

In the men's 3,000 meters, senior Bridger Altice was victorious with a time of 8:27.59. Sophomore Caleb Armstrong and freshman Jedidiah Megargel both placed in fourth and fifth with times of 8:38.17 and 8:38.45, respectively. 

The last title of the competition was won in the women's 4x400-meter relay. The Utah State A team, consisting of Reeves, junior Adi Nielson, sophomore Alison Richter and senior Olivia Smith, took first with a time of 3:55.22. 

In the women's 55-meter hurdles, senior Abbey Bryant finished second with a time of 7.91 and sophomore Krysthina Vlahovic took third with a time of 8.03. 

Two Aggies placed top five in the women's 55-meter dash as Reeves placed third with a time of 7.30 and freshman Claire Petersen finished fourth with a time of 7.31. 

Junior Mimi Miyazawa took second in the women's mile with a time of 5:00.23, while senior Mattie Geddes finished fourth with a time of 5:02.87. 

Senior Mark Crandall claimed second in the men's mile with a time of 4:14.89 and freshman Joshua Armstrong came in right behind him in third with a time of 4:16.10. 

In the women's DMR, Utah State A, made up of senior Bailey Brinkerhoff-Todd, Davidson, Geddes and sophomore Ana Weaver, took second with a time of 12:13.37. 

Utah State A, including Benson, freshman Landon Bott, freshman Rylan Anderson and sophomore Carter Guiness, placed second in the men's 4x400-meter relay with a time of 3:21.53.

In the men's DMR, Utah State A, comprised of sophomore Drew Hogan, senior Christopher Kauffman, Woodhouse and junior Max Wehrli, finished third with a time of 10:20.23. 

Other top-five finishes for the Aggie women included senior Autumn Kidd in the 400 meters (58.95, 5th), junior Emma Thornley in the 3,000 meters (10:00.67, 2nd), senior Abby Jensen in the 3,000 meters (10:00.75, 3rd), sophomore Sarah Ellis in the 3,000 meters (10:23.79, 5th), sophomore Hannah Lybbert in the high jump (1.65 meters (5-5.00), t-3rd), senior Inka Mehtola in the high jump (1.65 meters (5-5.00), t-3rd), and junior Mikayla Dalton in the pole vault (3.55 meters (11-7.75), 3rd). 

Other men's top-five finishes included Bott in the 400 meters (49.51, 2nd), freshman Samuel Beckwith in the long jump (6.89 meters (22-7.25), 2nd), and senior Gavin Beierle in the shot put (17.13 meters (56-2.50), 2nd). 

The Aggies return to action next weekend at the New Mexico Team Open and the UW Invitational on Friday and Saturday, Jan. 26 and 27, in Albuquerque, New Mexico and Seattle, Washington, respectively.
