EDDIE PETERSON

Eddie Peterson was a two-sport standout at Utah State from 1934-36. He was a three-time all-conference selection in football as a guard. He also received All-American honors as a senior. The Provo, Utah native also won three conference championships in the shot put while setting several school records. Later, Peterson organized the university's first geography department and taught classes for 23 years from 1957-79. In addition, he served on the athletic council for 14 years while acting as the chairman for 12 years.
Peterson passed away on Aug. 19, 1999 at the age of 83.
