A three-year starter at quarterback from 1970-72, Tony Adams set 16 single-game, single-season and career records at Utah State. His career passing totals include 456-of-867 passes for 52.6 percent, for 6,226 yards and 52 touchdowns. The Riverside, Calif. native accounted for 6,587 total yards during his three-year career and helped the Aggies to back-to-back 8-3 records as a junior and senior. Adams threw for a school-record 561 yards on 30-of-43 passes and five touchdowns in USU's 44-16 win against Utah in 1972. As a senior, he ranked second in the NCAA in total offense with 268.4 yards per game and was third in completions with 18.5 per contest. Adams was named to four different All-America teams in 1972 he played in Bolton. The Blue-Grey and Senior Bowl all-star games. Drafted by the San Diego Chargers in 1973, he spent four years in the NFL with the Kansas City Chiefs from 1975-78.
