Marvin Roberts, who played basketball at USU from 1969-71, was named to the school's all-century team. He is the seventh-leading scorer and eighth-leading rebounder in school history with 1,844 points and 997 rebounds. The Brooklyn, N.Y. product played in the National Basketball Association for Los Angeles as well as in the American Basketball Association, where he averaged 8.8 points and 4.1 rebounds for his career. Roberts was a key player on the 1970 Aggie team that finished one game away from reaching the Final Four. In 1971, USU advanced to the NCAA Tournament again en route to finishing with a 20-7 record.
